Dr. Jindong Wang, currently a Senior Researcher at Microsoft Research Asia, will join William & Mary, one of the "Public Ivies," as an Assistant Professor in January 2025. He plans to recruit several fully-funded PhD students and research assistants for Fall 2025 admission. Research directions include: machine learning based on large models, philosophy of language models, and the intersection of artificial intelligence and social sciences. Dr. Wang has published over 60 papers in top conferences and journals, with over 14,000 citations. He was ranked among the top 2% of highly cited scientists globally by Stanford University, and his research has been reported by renowned media such as MIT Technology Review and Forbes. He has guided over 10 undergraduate, master's, and PhD students to publish top-tier papers from scratch.
